I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel as I have read a fair bit of negative reviews. But luckily, I did not let that stop me. This hotel is great in so many areas. So my post might be a bit lengthy but this is what I found during my 5-nights stay there. Stayed in the luxury room at the main tower on the 15th floor as we requested smoking rooms.
Non-smoking rooms wo Non-smoking rooms would be higher up.
Our room faced the beautiful swimming pool! Room Hotel is located in Pratunam area, the best place to stay if you are a shopping addict lol. Surrounded by night markets, eating places, and shopping malls. Upon arrival from Suvarnabhumi airport, take the Airport Rail Link express train to Ratchaprarop station. At the station, go to the ground level and turn right and Phayathai to airport all the way straight, but make sure you are at the left side of the road.
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk. You'll pass Centara Watergate Hotel on the way to the Berkeley. Berkeley is connected to the Palladium mall Hotel reception was very warm and friendly. Check-in was super quick, took us less than 5 minutes to check in. Security deposit is baht for every night that you stay in i think, cos we were required to put down a baht deposit but will be refunded upon checking out. Swimming pool is beautiful, decent size, there's a kid swimming pool as well.
Breakfast has a lot of varieties, consisting of western and asian food. Food does not change that much on every morning but still has good flavours. Bathroom is spacious, there's a bathtub There's free wifi Arrived earlier at the hotel and was allowed to check in earlier. Staff was friendly and helpful with our luggage. Took the lift on the left side up to level 39 where our room was.
Corridor's lightings was dim and looked old but still clean. Room was very spacious and clean, had g Room was very spacious and clean, had great view of the Bangkok city. But room looked old. Breakfast was located at level 78 and 82 from 6am to Phayathai to airport. We could choose which level to go.
Breakfast was buffet style, had wide varieties and it was great to enjoy the food with the view of the Bangkok skyline. Overall, it was a great stay at the tallest hotel in Bangkok. Walk about 10mins. As always, this hotel is top notch! The staff all have an excellent command of english language, always polite and friendly, and accomodating to our requests. Rooms are great, very comfortable bed, rooms are equipped with a philips docking station for iphones which makes charging very easy and you can play music using your ipods. Love the bathroom fittings Grohe and Love the bathroom fittings Grohe and the water pressure makes bathing a very relaxing experience.
I will always keep coming back because it is extremely value for money to stay here!
Keep it up Glow! Btw, we took the new airport rail link to and from the hotel to the airport, you get to save money on taxi fare by staying here. Dragged my luggage to and fro from hotel and didn't find it to be too far.
Near food eateries, wellness. Can take cab instead. Hotellocated along an alley. I was quite skeptical at first about an alley being dangerous but this alley isn't at all. Saw the traffic for myself to believe. I will rather walk for minutes than to cab back. Could also cab to an area nearby away from the insane jam, then alight and walk.
But overall, the cons are still manage-able. Hotel Ambience: Brilliant. Nice ambience, de and concept and clean. Outdoor area is great for photos. You will know when you are there. Hotel Service: Top-Notch. Staff made me feel at home. Speaks good English and I did not have any issues with communicating with them.
Room change for 2nd day was processed smoothly.
Room: Pros : Spacious and sufficient. Great cleanliness! Cons : Had issues with the wifi in both rooms. Called guest services to settle it within a couple of minutes. Wifi issue surfaced again on 2nd last day but was also resolved within minutes. Breakfast: Superb. Excellent variety with buffet style. Wide spread of desserts to my amazement. Money well spent for hotel breakfast. Well equipped and relatively small hotel, very close to the Airport Rail Link station, very convenient for those for whom the airport connection is important. Otherwise, the hotel itself is very comfortable, the staff if courteous as usual in Thailand, the breakfast is excellent.
A nice touch is the free of charge tuk tuk, to take us to addresses nearby. The only min The only minus was that we got a room on a low stage 6and therefore no view whatsoever. But this does not affect the overall view, which is very positive. Defintely an option to consider in Bangkok. Will return! Even a taxi cannot reach it most of the day. Only a tuk tuk can reach it with great difficulty. The room had no kettle and more railings to Phayathai to airport clothes are needed as there is no closet.
The shower was n The shower was not a telephone shower, it was fixed to the roof. Check out took a long time as they check the room before releasing the deposit.
The staff meticulously went about their work efficiently like robots. No real friendliness. But the room was large, comfortbale and clean. Staff spoke English and were helpful.
Provided value for money! We arrived and was checked in quite promptly. The location of the hotel was superb and was also recommended to this Arunda Spa next to the hotel which offers affordable yet quality massgaes at a discounted price for guests of Centrepoint Pratunam. The proximity to the major shopping area in the Pratunam area offers much convenience for a rest after a hectic dayt of sho The proximity to the major shopping area in the Pratunam area offers much convenience for a rest after a hectic dayt of shopping.
The downside for backpack travellors will be the walk from the Airport Rail Link to the hotel and from the hotel to the various BTS station. This is perhaps one of the best place we stayed because hotel is very clean, great staff support, blocks away from food and shop. You can literally spend an entire day there. Also, there's Isetan, Central Mall, and other malls nearby. Starbucks is just Starbucks is just below Novotel and McDonalds and 7 Eleven just a few walks away from there so you can imagine how Phayathai to airport it is.
There is also a pharmacy opposite of 7Eleven and a bakery shop call "Bread Talk". The hotel has its own Tut-tut where they will take you to place like Siam Paragon for free. Good exercise.Phayathai to airport
